Maybe we should just call you Emily “Desire,” for your RITA 2015 nomination and you are perfect together! Congratulations.

Your advice here is right on, too, thanks. A written ms does often seem easy to do…when you’re done! 😉

How much of a struggle was “A Bride for the Black Sheep Brother” for you? Any specific barriers that you had to push through to bring your ms to greatness?

Well, that’s nice to hear, because I’ve had a lot of trouble with this last book I’m writing.

I love this quote. It reminds me of a “book of my heart” that has been set aside for a while to pursue other things, and my current WIP as well. Most advice always tells us that when things are tough, it’s because we’ve done something wrong somewhere. I’ve found that I’ve set stories aside because they did feel too big or too heavy for me to bring out. Perhaps I’ve been doing that too quickly. Thanks for this.

Agree. On Dec. 2 last year, I told a friend I should just put my book under the bed and move on because obviously no one wanted it. On Dec. 4, I got a contract offer from Harlequin Superromance.
