Harlequin offers a scholarship program to foster diverse voices in publishing. We offer four scholarships for students enrolled in selected writing programs:
- The Humber School for Writers (Toronto, Ontario) Graduate Certificate Program in Creative Writing.
- Seton Hill University (Greensburg, PA) Writing Popular Fiction Program MFA. Interested applicants can request application information at gadmit@setonhill.edu.
- Emerson College (Boston, MA) Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing Online MFA. This is a new scholarship starting in fall 2022.
- North Carolina A&T State University (Greensboro, NC) four-year Creative Writing Program for undergraduates. This is a new scholarship starting in fall 2022.
This scholarship aims to support more authors who are underrepresented in publishing to become published authors. Scholarships are awarded annually to students who bring diverse voices and stories to their writing and show exceptional talent and passion for pursuing a career in writing. Six scholarships have been awarded to date.
Interested applicants should apply directly through the schools when enrolling in programs. Recipients are selected by program administrators independent of Harlequin based on the scholarship criteria.
