Vote Now for the Top 25!

With a dizzying number of entries across 18 eligible categories, the So You Think You Can Write Contest is off to a great start in 2015. The editors have had their chance to read all of your great pitches and first chapters, and we’ve narrowed the field. Now it’s your turn to read and vote!

Announcing that the Top 50 Voting Phase in the SYTYCW contest will now include the top 55 submissions!  The Top 55 are now available for public voting! See the Official Rules for details.

From now until 4:59 pm EDT (EST) Oct 14, 2015, you can place ONE VOTE per story for your favorite #SYTYCW15 entry.

Love contemporary? Sexy? Sweet? Historical? Inspirational? Suspenseful? Paranormal? There’s something for everyone in the Top 55. And only the top 25 will advance, all based on YOUR vote! Here’s how.

1. Sign up for a Wattpad account in order to read the stories.

2. Find all Top 55 entries here.

3. Read and discover your favorite!

4. Cast your vote by hitting the star icon at the bottom of “Part I” of the submission. This is important! To be eligible, votes must be indicated on Part I of the Top 55 Submission (i.e., where the 100-word pitch is housed) to be counted.

You will see that you voted on the top righthand corner of the page:

Remember, you can only vote once per story, so choose wisely! Only votes made during the Top 55 Voting Phase on “Part I” will be counted.

Votes must be made between October 8th and October 14th. If you voted BEFORE OCTOBER 8TH, here’s how to make your vote count:

Go to the bottom of Part I (the pitch). If you’ve already voted for this story, you’ll see that the star next to the “vote” button is gold:

Simply click on “voted” once. Refresh the page and you’ll see that it’s returned to the grey “vote” option:

I can’t see more than about 8 titles whenever I follow your lead for the final 55 books. It loads up, but without a way to scroll down. I’ve read other comments saying the same. Is it a fault, or can we vote going back to the original pages, and where are the final 55 published so I can see who has moved forwards?

Thanks for the question, Jean. I see the complete list on Wattpad when logged into Chrome, but I’ve added the complete list to the bottom of this post, too. If you refresh this post, you should see the Top 55 with links to their stories on Wattpad.

So excited to be counted among such incredible talent. Thank you to the editors and to anyone who has taken the time to vote!! 🙂 Win, lose – I am grateful for this experience.

To those who didn’t make it through ( like myself)-
Since people anywhere in the world can vote, I contacted my voters/followers telling them about the competition. I asked them to take a look at the finalists and vote for their favourite. My readers are mainly under 25 and outside the author eligibiltiy countries.
I wonder if others in the same position might consider doing likewise. It would be nice if all 55 got loads of stars and reads. My letter is on my timeline if you think this is a good idea. If someone read your story, they probably like the romance genre and some of the finalists may be for your imprint anyway.
It will also boost sales for the winning novels/ authors if people remember their book from this and recommend it to friends.
