With a dizzying number of entries across 18 eligible categories, the So You Think You Can Write Contest is off to a great start in 2015. The editors have had their chance to read all of your great pitches and first chapters, and we’ve narrowed the field. Now it’s your turn to read and vote!
Announcing that the Top 50 Voting Phase in the SYTYCW contest will now include the top 55 submissions! The Top 55 are now available for public voting! See the Official Rules for details.
From now until 4:59 pm EDT (EST) Oct 14, 2015, you can place ONE VOTE per story for your favorite #SYTYCW15 entry.
Love contemporary? Sexy? Sweet? Historical? Inspirational? Suspenseful? Paranormal? There’s something for everyone in the Top 55. And only the top 25 will advance, all based on YOUR vote! Here’s how.
1. Sign up for a Wattpad account in order to read the stories.
2. Find all Top 55 entries here.
3. Read and discover your favorite!
4. Cast your vote by hitting the star icon at the bottom of “Part I” of the submission. This is important! To be eligible, votes must be indicated on Part I of the Top 55 Submission (i.e., where the 100-word pitch is housed) to be counted.
You will see that you voted on the top righthand corner of the page:
Remember, you can only vote once per story, so choose wisely! Only votes made during the Top 55 Voting Phase on “Part I” will be counted.
Votes must be made between October 8th and October 14th. If you voted BEFORE OCTOBER 8TH, here’s how to make your vote count:
Go to the bottom of Part I (the pitch). If you’ve already voted for this story, you’ll see that the star next to the “vote” button is gold:
Simply click on “voted” once. Refresh the page and you’ll see that it’s returned to the grey “vote” option:
You have successfully removed your vote (“unvoted”) for this story. Now, you can go ahead and click “vote” again. This vote has now been counted, and you’ve helped us get one step closer to the Top 25!
