Happy Pride Month!
Though we read with Pride throughout the year, June gives us a special moment to celebrate the LGBTQ+ fiction that we love. To celebrate this month, we’ve brought together recommendations from our authors and editors to fill in your summer TBR.

Small town to sweeping, on-location romances for Pride Month!
I absolutely adored The Vet’s Shelter Surprise by Elle Douglas. Opposites Georgia and Mel are complex, relatable characters that had me rooting for their romance from page one. If you love small towns, fuzzy animals, and a sweet, heartwarming romance, look no further. The Vet’s Shelter Surprise is my go-to gift for friends who love a heartwarming romance.
I just finished an advance copy of Jenny Lane’s Her Fake Wedding Date in Sicily. This book has it all: luxurious Mediterranean settings, fake dating, expiration dating, and a fast-paced plot. Eliza and Mia are compelling characters, and their love story had me flipping the pages long past bedtime. Jenny Lane is a new-to-Harlequin author and I’m eagerly awaiting her next book. Her Fake Wedding Date in Sicily doesn’t come out until August. Pre-order now and look forward to receiving a gift from your past self!

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake is one of my all-time favourite romance books. It’s such a ridiculously cute opposites-attract romcom, and I could not get enough of it. Delilah Green reluctantly returns to her hometown to fulfil a promise to her sister—and of course ends up falling hard for her sister’s best friend. The chemistry? Off the charts. The banter? Perfection. I’m a sucker for a good forbidden love dynamic, and the mix of opposites attract with just the right amount of forced proximity made my heart absolutely melt. It’s charming, a little chaotic, and so full of heart—I was kicking my feet the entire time. A total must-read for any romance fan.

Luana’s books are always a delight from start to finish, and Falling for her Miami Rival is no exception! In this irresistibly charming sapphic romance, talented doctor Jamie is overlooked for a promotion to the head of ER despite being more than qualified for the job – Allegra is hired instead, having just moved to Florida off the back of a messy divorce. Turns out, Allegra is well-suited to the job, but she struggles to get the staff onside – and in a gorgeous twist on the rivals-to-lovers trope, Jamie ends up defending the woman who inadvertently took her place… The fast-paced drama, palpable chemistry and high stakes are perfectly balanced with Luana’s characteristic feel-good writing. I can’t recommend this gorgeous story enough; it would make a refreshing change of setting particularly for those who don’t usually read medical romance.

Evenings and Weekends by Oisín McKenna follows an interconnected cast of Londoners over the course of a sweltering weekend in the middle of a heatwave. Tensions are brewing and secrets are on the verge of erupting with the weather accelerating the story in a way that only the heat can. This book is bursting with life as the characters tackle questions about class and sex, and what it means the live and love in the modern world. There is also a whale. I would recommend this for fans of Sally Rooney and readers who love a messy interpersonal dynamic. I can’t wait to see what McKenna writes next!
