Dear Authors,
Have you written a romance? Does it take readers on a trope-driven, emotional roller-coaster? Would it be best read sat by a roaring fire, stockings hung there with care, and snow falling all around you?
Well, what the Medical Romance Team wants for Christmas this year is… your manuscript!
We want to see your dedicated medics falling in love against a backdrop of seasonal cheer and ending in A Very Merry-Ever-After!
Your manuscript can be naughty or nice… It’s completely up to you!
And we’ll get back to you with a response before Christmas – what have you got to lose?
Happy Holidays – we can’t wait to read your stories!
The Medical Romance Editors
What Are We Looking For?
A full 50,000-word manuscript featuring festive fun and medical drama! (Please note, only full-length submissions will be considered.)
Check out our full submission guidelines here: https://harlequin.submittable.com/submit.
When Do We Need It?
Submit your “The Manuscript Before Christmas” stories anytime between now and 11:59pm ET on Friday 5th December 2025!
Make sure you send them to the Harlequin Medical Romance Submittable inbox. Don’t forget to add #TheManuscriptBeforeChristmas to your cover letter!
What Happens Next?
By 23rd December editors will review all submissions and respond to let you know if we’d like to work with you further on your manuscript!
Helpful Tips:
- Formatting – we’re just looking for something that’s easy to read. If you’re not sure, go with 12-point Times New Roman, double spaced. But don’t worry about getting it “right”—we just need to be able to read your manuscript!
- Please do not submit material that has already been rejected or is currently under consideration with any Harlequin line.
- Read one of our Medical Romance novels to become familiar with our gorgeous series, available at Harlequin.com.
