I’ve just come back to work after having a baby
I have a very cheeky yet utterly adorable 13 month little boy
who for the last year has literally kept me on my toes! But watching him grow up has given me a whole new love for all kinds of baby/pregnancy stories. When I read them, I’m absorbed in the journey of the hero and heroine from start to finish. They are guaranteed to make me cry!
I dream of far away locations
Reading romance gives me the perfect opportunity during the week to pack my bags, relax and pretend I am somewhere exciting in the world before all chaos breaks out when I’m reunited with my little man. So if for a few hours a day I can pretend I am in a gorgeous villa near lake Como, walking the streets of New York City or watching the sunset over the Aegean sea – please take me there!
I love rugby!
It is no surprise amongst my friends and colleagues that I love watching rugby (especially Mike Phillips!) When I was small, my dad took my sister and myself to some amazing matches around the country, and I’ve never looked back. But what I love more than the game itself is a hero who on the outside is a bit of a rebel, but underneath is truly honorable and a complete gentlemen. Seeing the many sides to the hero is essential to understanding his complex character. And watching the heroine peel away the layers to the man she can love underneath never fails to win me over.
I got married in a castle
I was lucky enough to get married in a beautiful castle in South Wales. It was every inch the fairytale, and for one day I felt like a princes who married her prince. Bringing realism to a fairy tale story, and keeping it rooted in reality lets me relive that moment – who doesn’t dream of finding their own prince?
